They say you never know what you have until it’s gone. Never would you have ever related to this saying until now (this could not entirely be the case though). Today, the world suffers from a deadly virus but I’m not here to add to the numbers; I’m not even here to add on to your panic. We’ve literally lost our freedom to move and we can’t even step outside to get that amazing food without being paranoid. We are used to being too busy to do the really important stuff.
Partial lockdown was the time to get in touch with that old friend you meant to call, learn to cook exotic meals, practice DIY’s on YouTube or Facebook, tell and show your kids you love them more, record yourself singing and laughing at your horrible voice or even get that 8 hours of sleep that the doctors talked about. It was also a time to get that summer body you’ve been dreaming about as bonus.
Did you get to do any of these? Maybe not.
The time will come when we will be totally free from the virus. Hopefully, this time, we won’t be too busy to get in touch with our human side and we won’t miss the opportunity to do the things that make us feel alive.
