VIRTUAL TERTIARY RUGBY LEAGUE

Rugby League Federation Ghana (RLFG) has again extended its Virtual Rugby League Tournament to the Tertiary level- Virtual Tertiary Rugby League.

The sole aim of this tournament is to introduce rugby League to the other institutions and also to get the student body interested in the game during this COVID-19 period.

Aside the University of Ghana that has some exposure to rugby League, other tertiary institutions partaking in the Virtual Tertiary Rugby League like University of Cape Coast (UCC), Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST), University of Health and Allied Sciences (UHAS), University of Professional Studies (UPSA), University of Education Winneba (UEW), University of Development Studies (UDS), and Bolga Technical University (BTU) are new to the sport.

The Virtual tournament is a poll game between teams. Each game last for 18 minutes. The institution with the highest votes emerges the winner.

There would be 28 matches which would be played for three Sundays in the month of May. The Virtual tournament is scheduled for May 3, May 10, and May 17, 2020 on Twitter (@GhanaRL) at 12noon.
